These terms and conditions are for your protection as well as ours. Please read them carefully.
There is no charge made by SummerIsle Studios for the initial meeting to discuss a project.
SummerIsle Studios always put quotes in writing, which contain a total cost & breakdown across the project. Quotes are valid for three months from the date of issue.
The copyright of all material that has been captured by SummerIsle Studios is solely owned by SummerIsle Studios and protected under UK law.
In the event of the client providing material (video, audio, photographs, logos etc) for inclusion into a SummerIsle Studios production, copyright must firstly be obtained from the original copyright owner/material provider. In order for SummerIsle Studios to use this material the copyright must be explicitly transferred to Summer Isle Studios. Or the material to be provided to SummerIsle Studios totally free of charge and the client will have to indemnify SummerIsle Studios against any future possible claims, disputes, expenses, or similar that may arise for a third party concerning usage of such material.
SummerIsle Studios will reserve the right to use the final production in full or part content for promotional purposes.
Our payment terms are strictly 30 days from date of invoice. This term overrides any Terms and Conditions stated in a Purchase order and in the event of an order being placed, the Client accepts this Term. SummerIsle Studios reserve the right to add an accumulative percentage on late payments as dictated under the UK government late payments scheme.
Payment by bank transfer or cheque.
All cheques must be made payable to ‘Summer Isle Studios’.
On the majority of projects, a draft version of the production will be forwarded to the client for their review. This draft may receive one set of minor revisions only, which is included in the original agreed cost.
In all instances SummerIsle Studios will reserve the right to remove any of its personnel and/or equipment from a location if it is deemed unsafe or if they are subjected to abusive or aggressive behaviour. In this instance the client will be liable for any costs incurred as a result of this.
In the event of inclement weather, SummerIsle Studios reserves the right to change the date of filming to a more suitable day, SummerIsle Studios will not allow the safety of the equipment or personnel to be compromised.
In the event of filming being delayed or aborted due to a lack of organisation from the Client, SummerIsle Studios reserves the right to change the relevant days filming. A re-visit to site to carry out further works may incur additional cost.
In the unlikely event that SummerIsle Studios experiences equipment failure or difficulties, all efforts will be made to find suitable replacement equipment as soon as possible. No further claims or liability will be accepted.
If the filming venues are being organised by the Client, it is the Client's responsibility to ensure that SummerIsle Studios has clear access to all relevant locations required throughout the day, delays in filming may incur additional charges.
A customer may terminate a contract at any time by written notice of termination.
When a customer terminates a contract, they will remain liable to pay in full for all work previously undertaken and in progress by Summer Isle Studios, unless any other written agreement is reached in advance.
We may alter the pricing and information on our website at any time and the changes will take effect immediately.
We recommend that you send your media materials to us by delivery service that requires “a signature on delivery” and insurance. According to your instructions we shall return your media materials and DVD to you by Royal Mail Special Delivery or Royal Mail Recorded Delivery providing a signature on delivery and insurance. Any disputes regarding loss or damage of your goods during transit should be taken up directly with Royal Mail or the nominated delivery Company.
We always take exceptional care with your tapes. In the unlikely event of us causing damage to or loss of any material, we will pay up to £10 compensation per tape/item with a maximum of £100 in any order. Please note that this does not apply to materials that have arrived in a damaged condition or were damaged during reproduction due to a material defect or being too old.
We reproduce your media material onto high-quality Verbatim DVD-R and DVD+R disks. Most DVD players will accept either of these discs but it is advisable to consult your manual/supplier for your particular DVD player to check it will accept either type of disc. If there are any limitations with your particular DVD player please advise us at the time of placing an order.
We aim to complete and dispatch your orders within 5 to 28 working days from receipt. For larger orders of 5 or more tapes please contact us for a delivery time.
If you have a complaint with regard to our reproduction, please e-mail us at sales@summerislestudios.co.uk within 7 days of receipt of your order. We shall investigate the situation and endeavour to rectify the problem as soon as possible to your satisfaction. Please note we can not be held responsible for damaged or mishandled discs and the quality of the medium is only as good as the original source.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the source media is not obscene or contains child pornography nor should it infringe any third party’s copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other propriety rights or rights of publicity or privacy and to comply with current laws of shipping audio/visual material.
We promise to respect the confidentiality of your identity and audio visual material. We will not supply your contact information to any third party companies unless you specifically ask us to.
All Terms and Conditions stated within this document are deemed acceptable to the Client upon receipt of a written order.
All Terms and Conditions stated within this document override any Terms and Conditions from the Client.
